Theory Dilemma

i just need to pass the exam, im not asking for a high mark. i just need to pass.

Friday's the day! Im more than ready to sit for the exam!

Altho there are few things I'm unsure abt.. i could just research. But heck, sometimes Music cant be explained.. really. its not like Science or Maths or English or whatever.

if u ask 'why' abt certain stuff in Music, the answer is simply.. because.. BECAUSE! no explanation. its because, its like that. because because.LOL

e.g "so why do we have demisemiquavers or alto clefs or tenor clefs?"

THE ANSWER IS.. :ITS BECAUSE, ITS JUST BECAUSE! - get it? :P

u know, some of it might just be a mistake centuries ago, however, we practice it today coz maybe it was misprinted the day since.

i just need to pass! i want to sit for my Grade 6 Practical Exam in 2008!

GOSH.. Theory drives u nuts. once u find it hard, its a turn off. u dont feel like doin it anymore.

(especially when some of the things are like JUST BECAUSE, ITS BECAUSE.)

I was painting my nails red, and due to my very impatient behaviour, i smudged it all.

It looks HIDEOUS!

I was tryna multitask, with my newly painted nails(A) but unfortunately... the harder i try to avoid touching things, the easier my nails get smudge. LOL. i guess i was too concious about my nails that I accidently wiped my fingers on my shirt.

alright, i dont make any sense. hehe

its day 2 of the half term break. i feel soooooo useless stayin at home. i tried to finish of my Theory, which I did, last night. =D I still think that theory is just a waste of time, well the basics of theory arent a waste of time, but like those weird stuffs.. its not like u see those wiggly stuffs everyday in sheet music.

i mean like, who cares about the first inversion of chords or w/e.

Today, im getting my Piano tuned!! Havent tuned my piano for 2 yrs, oh my, dad's gotta get ready huge amount of money.

guys, if u have a piano at home, tune it every year. coz the longer its untuned, THE MORE EXPENSIVE u have to pay. and the weirder the sound of the piano. really.

What am i going to do today??

PHYSICS. yes, PHYSICS. I am devoted to Physics today, since we have an Exam right after the holidays.

I just hope i do well in the exam. Altho, by doing well, the teachers are/might move some of us (rahmi, me and reg and two other boys which i dnt know) to the other Science group, where..all those boring ppl are. I doubt i could even learn, coz those ppl, they have HUGE EGO. All the Mrs and Mr -Know-It-All are in the other Science group. unlike me and reg and rahmi, we help each other out if some of us dont understand. (h)

HELP EACH OTHER! ITS ONE OF THE WAY TO POSITIVE THINKING!

oh and, how'd you like it spending most likely 100 mins with them everyday? where they make u feel that ure not as smart as them? HAHA. i know one dood who does that, i feel good everytime I beat him in Business Studies and Media. geeeezz.

i like my Science group. We're smart too. (h) Infact we're doing the same Higher paper, so whats the big deal of changing the class anyway. We get the same teacher, we learn the same thing from the same book, so why is there the need to change classes? Plus, if some students cant adapt to new environment easily, it might affect their performance.

Well, I dont know, but my point is, EVEN IF I DO WELL, PLEASE DONT CHANGE MY SCIENCE GROUP.

Usually, at this time, I'd be working my ass off finishing up hws. But not today! Because... I haven't got any homework due in tomoro! My Physics homework's due after half term. I'll do it during the weekends so I can fully concentrate for my Music Theory exam.

Music Theory Exam!

I hate how this examination board requires Grade 5 theory in order to be able to sit for Grade 6 practical exam! STUPID. STUPID.

This would be the FIRST music theory exam for me.

I HAVE NEVER SAT FOR ANY THEORY SHIT. NEVER, IN MY LIFE.

mutters: "And look at how brilliant I am in composing..I love my piece"

Who. Cares. About. Music.Theory.

Even those Youtube Musicians can't read notes. They play just by listening to the song. And then come up with their own music notes/chords.

I wish they had trinity exam Board here. By now, I wouldve been in Grade 8. this stupid place hasnt got Trinity.

I'll tell u about it. ITS A FABULOUS EXAMINATION BOARD I TELL U.

Reasons why I love Trinity examination board?

• Theory exam is OPTIONAL. You dont have to take Theory exams in order to sit for any practical exams. How cool is that.
• Practical Exam is TWICE in a year. Once in June, another one in Nov. Yes, i took my FIRST practical exam, in June 2004. Grade 4. Got a merit. My second practical exam, Grade 5, got a DISTINCTION. AWESOME.

I had to leave for qatar so i din sit for any grade 6 exams. and then i found out trinity board is unavailable in qatar so what the heck.imagine if they have it here, DAMN.

And now, im a Grade 6-er. Nevermind.

BACK TO MY POINT.

I DONT GET WHY WE NEED THEORY EXAMS.

Well, it is VERY BENEFICIAL for me though since im sitting for iGCSE Music this year. But what about the other ppl who dread theory?????????

U HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I HATE IT

my previous previous piano teacher in malaysia, used to spoonfeed me the answers. coz no matter how much she explains, i just get it wrong all the time. so i spend like 3/4 of my time erasing and copying the correct answers. i still have my old theory books. u can see those pencil marks and those eraser dust in the boook. HAHHAHA and most of the comments are "DO YOUR CORRECTION"

but now, i think im a "mature" student i can understand how those things work now.

i hope I pass. *fingers crossed*

Hello folks!

I am updating right now with my laptop on a bed-side table. In other words, i cant sleep so i decided to update.

Tons of questions are in my mind right now. Retail therapy didnt work after all.

I thought, u know, buying stuff would comfort me or distract me from thinking wisely abt certain stuff.

It didn't work after all. Oh well. I did bought a pair of flats though. White pumps/flats, w/e you call it.

Blah. At times, I wish the phrase,"who cares" , is the answer to all questions. I wish it was that phrase that motivates me to go on. the phrase, "who cares". blissful ignorance is what i need
right now. It seems like I care too much, when I know certain people just dont give a fck about anything. Some people are inconsiderate, fakers, liars etc. but most are wonderful, amazing, people. I dont like it when all of a sudden, that wonderful, amazing person turns out to be the opposite of them. Oh well. Maybe changes can be good at times, maybe not. I dont know.

On Sunday, I went visiting for Eid at my mum's friend's hse. fellow malaysian. ok thats not the point. jasz's familly came too. alright so.. after that jasz and i decided to go to City Centre since

its the nearest mall to the house.

we went there with the intention of watching a movie. so we watched Nancy Drew.

it was Family Day in City Centre. HAH. so right, my sis, jasz, and i bought tickets.

the movie only starts at 6pm. and we arrived at 5:10 pm or smt. SO RIGHT.. we went roaming about..

SUDDENLY. these guys were walking towards us, ok. i was just about to whisper to jasz that one of em's hot.

little do i know that, he smacked jasz's ass! *and jasz, he did smacked ur ass, i saw it*

and all i did was.. say "OMG! U COULDVE SLAPPED HIM" then we turned back, and saw them walking right behind us.

they were STALKING US. omggggg

then... he walked right beside me, asking for my number AND my name. all i said was "WHAT THE HELL"

i was soo scared. and then his friend, came up to me, and touched my ass! OMG.

then we kept walking in female clothing shops.suddenly they caught us coming out from Promod, so then

his black friend came up to me and asked " u dnt wanna fck with me coz im a nigger? i have a long dick blabla"

Eid was awesome!! altho last year's Eid was way way way crazyy than this one. haha

my body's aching. seriously exhausted from yesterday's quadbiking activity and Eid.
went quadbiking in Messaid. and omg. my quadbike keeps getting stuck at that stupid soft sand. thank god the locals were kind enough to help me get the quadbike outta the stupid sand.

i just felt like blogging before going to bed. im quite relieved that its 4 days holiday. *i think its 4 days*

this week's like a roller coaster. ups and downs. i needed a break. and im gonna chilll and not bother about school for that time. because otherwise, ill turn PSYCHO.

i thank god for not having insomnia at night. god is good, ALL THE TIME.

ok. im visiting my friends in Al Khor. omg i cant believe im travelling across the country just to spend eid. its mainly coz i havent got any friends in Doha. i belong in Al Khor. my soul's there, my body's in this stupid retarded city.

let me see.. i saw... 5 accidents tonight. the night before eid, and i saw 5 accidents. damn, those fellas. what a waste of fasting then, celebrating eid in hospital. maybe one of them din survive in the accident or smt. bless. well it might be a blessing in disguise.

and i made an observation. the landcruiser cars. u know those common ones.... the ones that look tough. theyre sooooooooooo fragile in real life! the GMC was like 5% damaged, whilst the land cruiser was like 80% damaged, meaning the length of the car was half its original. DAMN SCARY. i wish i had a camera and snapped everything.

oh oh sch's dilemma - crime of stealing.

i wish tha tperson stole my camera, then i wouldve got it back by now. instead of that fcking kargo person. BRING BACK MY CAMMY TO ME. TO ME!

Cleaning Tale

well.

today, we had to do this 'static' experiment in Physics. holy smoke. ive never seen Regina being perverted than ever!!!

cant blame her though, the instructions sounded SO WRONG.

1. Rub one rod, then put it closely together. Note any repulsions/attractions.

How do we rub the rod?

then of course, we would illustrate how we rubbed the rod on the cloth. it was just wrong the way everyone did it. HAHAHAAH

then the second instruction was:

RUB BOTH RODS TOGETHER. THEN PUT IT CLOSELY TOGETHER. WHAT HAPPENS?

(oh ma god. can it sound any worse?)

lol. as soon as the teacher wrote it down, everyone started thinking diff things. lol. rahmi, reg and i spent abt 10 mins to calm ourselves down. we were laughing at those innocent girls who hadnt got a clue what we're laughing at. thinking abt it makes me laugh. hahah

zomg!!! i finished my first Maths Coursework. finally out of my way. another one coming up. GEEZ. spoiler spoiler.

guess what, i discovered smt new abt myself.

i LIKE cleaning my own room. like every friday or smt, i would look forward to cleaning my room and spray it with air freshener and vaccuum it. i think its coz im falling in love with the smell of the air freshener. thats what motivates me to clean my room?? or is it a form of procrastination? (6) and and it makes me feel like a grown up. coool yaa?

i tried telling my mum that i am ready to live alone. ( i havent proved her abt the laundry bit)
im HOPELESS when it comes to laundry. thats the only thing i hate doing. wait, infact TWO things, laundry and dishes.

theres a laundry basket in my bathroom, and if mum doesnt collect it every alternate day, its gonna be full by saturday. AND YEA I END UP DOING IT. and everytime i do them, i have to do 2 loads. one for coloured clothes, and one for white coloured clothes.

so normally the time taken for the washing bit is usually 40 mins. i always end up not putting the clothes in the dryer by then!! so yea, it takes me 2 days to wash my laundry if i do it myself. coz i keep forgetting. =D

thats why, my mum thinks im still immature to live on my own. geez

then second one is doing the dishes. OH HOW I DREAD DOING THEM.

yeah of course, theres a dishwasher. but i HATE loading and unloading the dishwasher. its like it takes too much effort to bend and arrange the dirty plates in order. ( lazy voice speaking)

so to avoid doing those stupid chores, i set up the table before every meal and then i delegate the stupid loading dishwasher bit to esther. (6) MUAHAAHAHAH and if my mum says "RACHEL LOAD THE DISHWASHER"

i go.. " I set up the table already! Esther did not help me set up, so she loads the dishwasher" quickly runs upstairs. :)

my point is...i rather clean my room than doing laundry and doing the dishes. :) cleaning room is a fun thing, if u have those portable vacuum cleaners. i LOVE THEM. all i have to do is sit down on the floor, and then leave the cleaning to the vacuum. coz all i have to do is sit and move it. hehehe but of course, i use the real vacuum cleaner after that -_-" then, i mop za floor. IT SMELLS SO GOOD that cleaning detergent. hahahah.

anyway enough abt my cleaning story. adios!

ok im bored right now. sorry for the late update.im so lazy to blog nowadays.. life's hectic. HAHA i can now say that im busy. so this is how ppl feel when theyre busy. LOL... sad rachel sad.

i cant be bothered to update in paragraph form. ill list it =D its easier for u to read, easier for me to type em! =D

1. my computer crashed and im still browsin arnd for laptops. the ones in carrefour are like so common. the ones in Virgin doesnt seem great. so expensive too! i saw a Lamborghini laptop which costs QR13800. rachel doesnt want common stuff and rachel wants smt sleek. tell me if u know any!

2. the bus conductor is funny like hell. i laugh alot (silently tho) im trying to control that coz otherwise ppl might think im crazy. i think hes abt 28 yrs of age. and he cant really speak english therefore, makes him gullable. he got soo hyper when he saw this yr 9 boy's phone.(cause the phone plays mp3)lol talk abt being noobie.

3. im soo exhausted from 5 days of school. i need a holiday. pronto.

4. i need a name for my first music composition. it includes a harp, violin, and a flute.

5. im unsure of smt. i need to know the TRUTH.

6. i got rid of him. xD AWESOME. no more fake statements. u know, having to read those fuckinly cheeky lines grosses me out. i told him off, and hopefully he live his life the way he shud be. with that new girl. ITS OK. shes not pretty, dnt hafta be jealous =D

7. im looking arnd for summer programmes in the UK. anyone know any? tell me ok.

8. my piano teacher rocks. eventho shes freaky.

9. magdeline is going to oman and im not. coz my daddy needs to renew his RP and so do i. =(

10. the lil kid is cycling in front of my house. the sound of the stuppid three wheeler is annoying me. so i shall shut the sliding door and go into my room to get some peace and quiet. ( u must be thinking what the heck?)

11. celebrated mum's bday in Chopsticks, Grand Regency. dnt like the food. the ambience of the restaurant is NO WHERE near asian. geez. weirdos

12. thinks that i shud be gettin on with life instead of typing this stuff.
